What is IF Initiative?
IF Initiative is a collaborative business approach, led by Carbone 4 with the support of six research teams, aimed at building and disseminating a new framework for business strategy.
Its objective is to help companies understand the transformations of their activities in the face of planetary boundaries and to structure their strategic exchanges with their stakeholders.




















































why IF Initiative?
The environmental disruptions and the actions needed to limit them profoundly change the business conditions.
Traditional strategic approaches, mainly financial and projected in the short term, no longer allow them to anticipate the consequences that environmental crises will have on their activities.
This limits the ability of businesses to make appropriate decisions for ensure their sustainability and contribute effectively to the ecological transition.

- The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires companies to assess the risks and opportunities associated with climate change based on scenario analyses in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- IF Initiative provides businesses with the tools they need to conduct climate scenario analyses in accordance with these requirements.
