We put technology at the service of the chosen time and of harmony with the living.

  • In SLOWTECH, technology is put at the service of the downturn. The rise of remote services such as teleworking thanks to digital technologies is leading to a decrease in daily mobility.
  • The building sector is decarbonizing thanks to major renovation efforts and home automation, but we are maintaining spacious homes.
  • Vegetable proteins dominate the diet and are mainly derived from extensive agriculture.
  • For its part, the energy mix is deeply carbon-free and uses are largely electrified.

Optimized and intelligent buildings

  • The homes are optimized with automatic systems to ensure optimal comfort while reducing energy consumption.
  • “Nomadism” is developing to make way for teleworking and to facilitate life alongside face-to-face activities (professional activities or leisure activities).
  • Housing is becoming denser, in small and medium-sized cities organized around collective, connected and modular housing.

Immersive audio

In the second half of the 21st century, Julia, a Chilean woman working in a lithium mine, agrees to organize the wedding of her friend Maëlle, living in Sweden. The couple wanted to celebrate in Camargue, the land of their ancestors. Helped by José, a Camargue native, Julia juggles coordination challenges, virtual visits and the unexpected. Between cultural differences, choice of location and climatic constraints, the organization becomes a real adventure, where each stage has its share of surprises and twists.

Long times and optimized transport

  • The use of digital technology and robotization allow us to limit daily trips.
  • For the necessary trips, the preferred modes of transport are connected, optimized, comfortable, and collective.
  • Nomadism involves long and regular long-distance trips and slow trips are appreciated.

Vegetarian food in the spotlight

  • The relationship with living beings leads a majority of people to stop eating animals, and to replace animal proteins with vegetable proteins.
  • The technology improves the resistance of crops and their nutritional qualities. Eating is an experience, and you have to take the time to choose foods, cook them, and share them.
ENERGY

An energy mix focused on renewables

  • The development and new perception of digital technology make it possible to compensate for the significant growth in the industrial and transport sectors.
  • Renewable energies are preferred, with fossil fuels divided by four. The consumption of biofuels for housing, industry and transport will double by 2060.

Nest

Architecture

The Nest thermostat reduces energy consumption by learning the habits of occupants, adjusting the temperature according to the weather, and optimizing heating/cooling, while avoiding waste thanks to its intelligent management.
